Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 July 2026
RepoFold is operated by Benji, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 96684062 ("RepoFold", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you use RepoFold on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind that organization.
1. The service
RepoFold generates and maintains documentation ("wikis") for source code repositories you connect through GitHub, and makes that documentation available through a web interface, exports, share links, and an MCP endpoint for coding agents. How we handle your source code is described on the Security page and in the Privacy Policy, both of which form part of these terms.
2. Beta status
RepoFold is currently offered as a free beta. Features may change, be limited, or be removed; usage limits apply and may be adjusted. We aim for reliable operation and make daily backups, but during the beta the service is provided without uptime or support commitments. When paid plans are introduced, continued use of paid features will require a subscription; we will announce this in advance and you will never be charged without explicitly signing up for a paid plan.
3. Your account
You sign in with your GitHub account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your API keys secret. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Your code and your content
You retain all rights to your source code and repositories. You grant us a limited, revocable license to access, process, and analyze connected repositories solely to provide the service to you. You may only connect repositories you are authorized to use. RepoFold itself does not use your code to train machine-learning models; AI processing by our subprocessor is described in the Privacy Policy.
Generated wikis derived from your repositories are yours to use freely, including outside RepoFold. Deleting a repository or your account removes the associated generated content as described on the Security page.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not connect repositories you have no right to access or process.
- Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, plan limits, or access controls.
- Do not use the service to store or distribute unlawful content.
- Do not probe, scan, or disrupt the service or other users' data.
- Do not resell or provide the service to third parties as your own.
6. Generated content
Documentation and answers are generated by AI from your repository. They can be incomplete, outdated relative to your latest changes, or wrong. Citations are provided so you can verify claims against the source; always verify before relying on generated content for critical decisions. Generated content is provided as-is without warranty of accuracy.
7. Intellectual property
The RepoFold software, design, and branding are and remain our property. These terms grant you no rights to them beyond normal use of the service.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, RepoFold is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits, or loss of data arising from use of the service. For a free beta service our total liability is in any case limited to EUR 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence.
9. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your repositories and account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, or discontinue the beta with reasonable notice. Sections that by their nature should survive (4, 7, 8, 10) survive termination.
10. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by Dutch law; disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the application. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
